Overview
Enabled elite modifiers, what they do, and how to answer them during DVD Survivors runs.
Elite Modifier List
| Modifier | What changes | Player answer |
|---|---|---|
| Fast | Moves faster immediately. | Create space early; do not let the elite set the route. |
| Shielded | Starts with an extra shield equal to half its boosted max HP. | Break the shield before committing burst tools. |
| Splitter | Splits on death. | Save area damage or movement for the follow-up bodies. |
| Regenerating | Heals 2% of max HP per second. | Focus fire instead of leaving it half-damaged. |
| Explosive | Releases projectiles on death. | Kill from range or dash away as it dies. |
| Phasing | Periodically becomes invulnerable. | Wait out the phase, then unload during the open window. |
| Recursive | Spawns two smaller copies at 40% HP on death. | Treat the death as the start of a second wave. |
| Firewall | Blocks hits below 5 damage. | Use heavier hits, evolved weapons, or click attack pressure. |
| DDoS | Spawns capped 1 HP popup reinforcements every second. | Clear the adds while keeping damage on the elite. |
| Timed | Explodes after 8 seconds if it is still alive. | Either kill it quickly or move away before the timer finishes. |
| Cloaked | Starts nearly invisible and becomes easier to see after being hit. | Use area damage, splash, or cursor checks to reveal it. |
| Overclocked | Accelerates over 10 seconds, up to 4x speed. | Kill it early; waiting makes the chase worse. |
| Backup | Restores to 50% HP once on death. | Expect the first kill to be a revive, not a finish. |
Counterplay Pattern
| Identify | Read the modifier before spending burst. Shielded, Phasing, Backup, and Timed elites ask for different timing. |

| Open space | Clear the lane around the elite first so the kill does not happen inside a collapsing pack. |
| Spend tools | Use freeze, knockback, shields, click pressure, or evolved damage once the danger window is visible. |
