Core Terms
| Term | Definition |

| Bytes | Account currency earned during runs and modified at payout time by difficulty, Tune In, Golden DVD, build bonuses, channels, and sponsors. |
| XP gems | Enemy drops that fill the current run level bar. |
| Permanent upgrades | Byte-purchased account stats with up to 15 levels each. |
| Special Features | Permanent perks, consumables, and reset tools sold in the shop. |
| Evolution | A max-level weapon upgraded through its required passive pairing. |
| Synergy | A named passive combination that adds an extra build effect. |
| Build chip | HUD chip for family bonuses such as Director's Shelf, Toolchain, and Viral Stack. |
| Click Attack | Direct attack at the cursor or aim lane, with special elite and boss fractions plus splash damage. |
| Corner Bonus | A timed bonus room opened by real corner hits when cooldown and run timing allow it. |
| Tune In | Run package layer for higher scene tiers, combining disc conditions, objectives, challenges, channel events, sponsors, and boss packages. |
| Autopilot | Assisted run control that halves final Bytes and blocks next-scene unlock credit for that run. |
| Showroom | Discovery catalog for weapons, passives, evolutions, synergies, enemies, items, and achievements. |
| Elite modifier | A special behavior added to elite enemies, such as Fast, Shielded, Splitter, Timed, or Cloaked. |
